What to do in Rustenburg – activities

As Rustenburg was originally a frontier town for bushveld prospectors, the great outdoors has always played a large part in the life of the settlement. Hunters and explorers would venture from here into the wild interior and similarly today there are many Rustenburg activities that allow visitors to get a taste of the African plain. And within 30kms of town there are more than 20 nature reserves with space for tents and caravans as well as countless lodges.

There really are ample things to do in Rustenburg with activities such as sailing, sightseeing, clay pigeon shooting, combat school, go-karting, oval racing plus fine dining, shopping and decent pubs. Should you ever get bored of watching World Cup matched or are have had enough of the tension before a big game, why not explore the green countryside with a picnic or swim in the Marico River. Stone Clad Mountain is great for climbing and has spectacular view from the summit .
