There are plenty of things to do in Nelspruit ranging from your regular sporting pursuits to nature exploration of the nearby Kruger National Park. Most Nelspruit activities can be arranged directly through the organisations listed below or alternatively through some of the great Nelspruit hotels and guesthouses listed here. Popular Nelspruit attractions include the world famous Sudwala Caves, Lowveld Botanical Gardens, Croc River Enviro Park and Chimpanzee Eden.
There are also some great 4×4 routes to explore if you fancy renting a jeep and getting to know the great outdoors. The Mpumalanga region boasts verdant forests, diverse wildlife and majestic mountain ranges and there are many 4×4 routes to explore through the bush with a rental jeep or pick-up. The Mac Mac summit route by Sabie is easy-going and takes visitors past subtropical forests and glistening waterfalls. Riverwild 4×4 in Nelspruit is driven by visitors under expert tuition in their own vehicles and considered one of the best off-road experiences in South Africa. The trail has a variety of sections including mud, river crossings, rocky areas and steep ascents.
