The Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban with its Wembley-esque arch is a spectacular symbol of sporting prowess in South Africa. The venue, which takes its inspiration from the flag of South African, has the honour of hosting a World Cup semi-final. The two separate legs of the southern side of the 350m arch join to form a single bar at the northern end, thus symbolising a new unity out of a previously-divided nation. (more…)

All manner of curry features heavily on menus of restaurants in Durban, with a few delicious regional specialities to keep ravenous footie fans topped up with spicy energy. Bunny Chow is a dish unique to the city which is a must-try for any visitor.
